With setting the quality to 300 dpi in color, its quite fine, it takes several tens of seconds to get the image to my PC. Regardless if I scan 'with' or 'without' HP software, the scanning is extremely slow. Everything works fine except the scanning. Get more done with an affordable MFP that combines full office functionality with inbuilt Ethernet. I have purchased M1212nf MFP machine recently.
